Christian Music Store C28 Launches Program to Boost Online Music Sales

In an effort to boost online music sales, C28 Christian Music Store announces the launch of a program to revamp the music section of their website. "Digital MP3 downloads have greatly changed the dynamics of buying and selling music online," relates C28 Website Administrator Justin Palmer. "Now that people are able easily purchase individual songs, people need a really good reason to go ahead and purchase an entire CD."

C28 plans on adding many new features within the next six months to their website to offer customers additional ways of browsing and selecting music. "Over the next few months," continues Palmer, "We'll be adding features such as search by song, bestseller, or best rated music. In addition, we would like to eventually offer sound clips of all songs and a streaming music player to listen to highlighted artists."

Recently, C28 added a feature that allows customers to read and write reviews of the Christian Music CDs they sell. "Since adding the feature," says Palmer, "We've seen an increase in activity in the music section. Christian music is more than a product, it's a lifestyle that allows people to express their faith. People love to be able to read other people's opinions on the music and state their own. It gives them a feeling of community and empowerment."

In addition to increasing online music sales, C28's renovation program is part of a larger vision to increase the brand awareness of their Not of This World (NOTW) clothing line. Palmer goes on to explain, "While Christian music is not the most profitable category for C28, it does allow us an avenue to attract customers to our clothing line. Since C28 sponsors many well-known Christian music artists, our music and our clothing go hand in hand."
